Jarjeer Mules hosted a Donkey Workshop!!!
On Saturday 26th March, Jarjeer Mules hosted a special donkey workshop. Our donkey's models for the day was Emily, Boris and Mary, who behaved very well!! Our lovely friends Paula Da Silver and Stacey Nedrow-Wigmore taught all our men how to check the health and do basic medical care on our donkeys.
Some of the things that were covered during the workshop was how to check the donkeys temperature,pulse and respiration. We also played dentist for the day and looked at the important of looking at the colour of the donkeys gum. We also demonstrated wrapping and rolling bandages and basic grooming techniques. Our friend Paula kindly organised record sheets that were translated into Arabic so the men could keep track the health of each donkey.
It was a wonderful day of learning and we all learned so much!! The donkeys were all so well behaved and deserved a treat after being such good models.
